Wait for the Riteks before buying. If you are happy with the riteks, stick with them and never worry aboutt esting other media. Ill test as much as i can at http://www.chrismccann.co.uk so you can have a look there from time to time.
I have heard some people having problems with media in different stand alones. They typically also can't play anything other than stamped discs. I have never had a problem with Ritek in various stand alones. Only a RCA really cheap DVD player at $80 had problems, but it seems to only play stamped (comercial discs). It couldn't play CD that weren't stamped.
My most sincere thanks to all of you who passed on your knowledge and experience in helping me solve the problem of the '25 Wasted Discs'. Being new to the game it is soul destroying to find that something does not work when your sure it should. Thanks again to the 'genuine' people who helped. Tosca ---> get it right up ye.
