    thats just how its supposed to work.

    if you had a song without an artist, would you want itunes to just pop it into any artist it pleases?

    lol.

    if it wasnt in an album but it did have an artist, then yeah, all youd have to do is put in the album name under "info".

    I cannot really understand the question you ask in your first post, however, I have not noticed a bug as far as tagging information is concerned.. is this the only instance where you have had this issue, or does it occur frequently?
