best converter? simple

I sick of searching around the internet for a good video converter. So I am asking what is the best converter, with greatest options, and a good track record of use. I've tried WinAvi (bugs and would work), EO (worked great, a little slow, but great), Virtualdub (couldn't even get it working), and others. So The best converter free, pay, whatever. I'm mostly looking for a convert that can at least can convert all video files in to avi (I us DivxtoDVD to go from there dvd, but if it can go from whatever file straight to DVD that even better. Please help

PS- I didn't mean to sound pushy or demanding except I've been spending hours and days searching the net.

I tired the Magix website and I didn't see anything that look like a video converter.

 

u have to purchase the software and that software is like a suit it does a bunch of stuff, includin conversion

 

what kinds? Does it do Ogm too?

 

Get AutoGK. It's one of the best and easiest to use converters out there. DVD to AVI (xvid or Divx)

 

The only media i know it will not play and convert is wma soo everythin else seems to b kewl
