What does the icon look like?
What you want to do is right click on it and look for file type. I need to know what it says.

Is it a single file, two files or many files?

If it's a rar file you have to right click on it and extract the files. If there are many rar files just do this for the first file. Then tell me what you have if you need help still.

You usually get either a type of video files (commonly avi)
or a cue and bin file.

99% of the time the files are on the form: filename.XYZ , and XYZ is the extension, of course. Alas, sometimes they have simply been renamed 'filename' , without any extension.

In the case of archives, you can see which type they are by 'brute force'. If you can look the first line of the file (Total Commander's Lister [bold]'F3 View' [/bold] helps on doing this, looking at it this without 'opening' the large file):

    - a ZIP archive:
    PK Ç´š/BILD= ç ....

    - a RAR archive
    Rar! Ï?s µità€3 ....

Just rename 'filename' into 'filename.ZIP' or 'filename.RAR' (depending on the 1st line of the file, the one you just saw) and you are done!
