SATA v IDE

    If you have an PCI slot which most modern day computers do then you can use one of the SATA PCI card controller's. The IDE conversion card is buggy and takes away 2 IDE controller's. The PCI card is the way to go they actually work better than most mother boards with built in SATA interface IMO..

    indienemo, was meant for GVR as both you & i have the same post time but yours came 1st so that is why i was asking you instead of GVR

    I dont get it how many SATA devices will be supported with that...? Also, will it be cheaper if you dont get one with firewire and usb 2.0.. i have 4 free usb 2.0 ports and dont want "direwire" ;)...
