I'm using starview box 3 has anybody else lost sky movies horror and comedy???Ive tried a factory reset

 

IM USING A STAR VIEW 3. DONE ALL THE RE SETS AND SCANS,MY SYSTEM PICS ALL THE CHANNELS UP AND PROGRAM DETAILS, BUT I HAVE A BLANK SCREEN.JUST SAYS SCRAMBLED OR BAD CHANNEL.DO I NEED TO UPDATE THE FIRMWARE OR JUST WAIT?

 

turn the caps off mate, considered shouting, read back on this thread and tuen your EMU back on if you havent doen so already, read the Nagra 3 thread also

read the other thread,so does that mean the boxes will be no good now.and if so is there a box on the market to get around this.

 

nope, end of the road for cable boxs at present, if your area is on that list as being on Nagra 3, then your box has been rendered useless, if it isnt on that list, you need to follow what has been posted above and try to re-scan, thats all you can do as they are moving chans and freqs all the time now. Look at the Shy chans on Dreambox if sat is they way you want to go, but as it stands at present, end of cable as we know it

 

So has anybody else lost sky comedy and horror?? Ive done a reset

 

as I said this is going to keep happening, the only thing that will bring them back is a reset, remove any splitter and rescan, if you on the nagra 3 list, then your goosed, Check the virmin service page and go to daily update page to see if there is work going on also, but there is nowt other you can do, but check and rescans.

 

So what is the answer ? starview 4 or a eurovox???

 

And how do you tell what nagra you are on??

 

there are no boxes that can crack nagra 3 so no point in buying either of those. starview 6 is an option you can look at (but its not a nagra3 crack) look at the thread (starview 6 future proof)you will find it now in the list of all updated threads . also look at the thread (shy channels on dm500) you will find it in the same place. both methods require the box to be connected up to a broadband router .

 

and dont work in the UK, so not an option for the UK. Once gone no cable box works directly

 

So theres nothing you can do if your in the UK????

 

have a look in the above threads i mentioned , there is a bit of reading but it shows possible ways around nagra3 but not through it.
