First and foremost, I searched on the forums and didn't find anything that helped. I went on Alienware's website yesterday, and saw they offer an option to run dual ATI 4870X2 in Xfire with a 790i Ultra. How do they do this? Do they use hacked drivers?
No I don't, but that really doesn't answer my question. I was just wondering how Alienware can get this to work.
As far as I'm aware, there is a software facility to use software CF on an nforce chipset. IIRC the performance is a little stunted though, and to be honest, if you've owned one HD4870X2 you'll see that that's enough... ;-)
