Ok I know many of you are going to say that softmodding is so easy and you can't understand how people keep messing up but I have. The first time I modded my xbox would work fine if I already had a game in the system before booting up but if I started my Xbox by open tray or pressing the power button without game already inserted then I would get 21 error message. So I uninstall SID 3.1 and everything seemed fine. I re installed, followed the steps to a tee (atleast I thought so) but now my xbox will start and then after a couple seconds seems to reboot and then just freezes. I can't even get to the menu to uninstall softmod. I can't even tell when I did softmod if my xbox was softmodded. I didn't see a different dashboard other then the regular ms dash even though I chose the Evox dashboard. I know I am a newbie but can anyone please help me out.
you cnat really do anything now, ive heard of this being done before but have never heard of a way out,the first time you did it you obviously never installed the new dashboard correctly, or maybe you installed it on a different partition (i put mine on the c and it works fine) i have changed my dash to xbmc now, but i did have unleashx the first time i ever did the softmod. and i did it by perfection all by myself by the way, i really cant understand why people keep doing this. if you cant get it first time you obviously need help.
Think I got it to work now. From what I have done is I had to delete SID 3.1 off of harddrive and Mechassault loader and then go back to SID and remove softmod and then restore backup MS dash. Seems to work. I think I even installed softmod correctly but after an hour of running the system still freezes and is registering at 61 degree celcius or maybe I am reading that wrong.
