R4 updates???

Hi guys,
Need a bit of advice please. Ive just dug out my daughters 3 year old ds and it has an R4 cartridge that has never been updated. Ive found that many newer games wont play so wanted to know how to update it? I set it up when I bought it so hopefully should have no trouble, but just need guiding in the right direction. any info will make her a happy girl. Thanks

 

R4 is no longer supported, look for a replacement firmware called woods! - this runs all the newer games

 

Thanks. What do I do? Can I place the firmware onto the r4 card or do I need something else?

 

If you find a link to woods firmware it will tell you how to install it, it replaces the standard R4 firmware on the micro sd
