Now I know its possible to have internet on the Xbox, but is it possible to download torrents somehow?? Im sure there is a way but a porgram that acts as a client is needed. Anyone happen to know anything about downloading torrents from e.g. Linksbox?
you can get the .torrent files on xbmc if you know how to use the scripts that come with it, but as for the client to make it download i have no idea
There is a script for XBMC called Bitxbox that is a torrent client. You will have to get the torrent files from a different script (torrentbrowser3) or linksboks. You can also use a computer and ftp the torrent file to your xbox. It should come with a readmexbox file that tells you how to set it up. So far i have only been able to get it working with xbmc-2004-10-29. Maybe someone knows how to make it work with the current XBMC.
ok a managed to get a torrent file on the xbox using torrent browser but now i need a client to download it on the xbox, not pc. is there a client? if so whats it called please
search for bitxbox using google. One of the results will be Script Bitxbox - Forum Gueux. Third post down. This is the only place I could find it. I'm surprised it's not more popular, its real good. Only problem is I don't think it works with any version of XBMC newer than the 2004-10-29 build. If anyone knows enough about python to update this they would be super-cool.
