I still don't own one, but i got the idea to play music videos while DJ-ing. We tried this on an HP notebook which we borrowed.
All went well exept for one thing: you couldn't get a picture on the output (projector) and the TFT-screen at the same time!
I thought that should be perfectly normal ??
We had to switch between output and screen using fn-F4
which resulted in sound and picture abruption for 2 seconds each time..

Has anyone experiance with this matter?

    Hey!

Some video cards and almost all onboard video dont have the cabability of mirroring an image. Generally
only the really expensive LTs can do this. You can buy a video card for a desktop starting about 115(can$).

    Thanks for the info.
That's not so good then, I thought it were only some wrong settings.
What if we use the video output (Tv out), can that be ran together with the screen?

    Hey c3po!

I suggest you look in the manual for that particular LT and see what kind of card/onboard video it utilizes.
There may be a setting. What is the model# of the HP and what kind of projector are you using?

check your bios settings & manual, on some laptops you can have both screen & display at same time
