In order to access games form my hard drive which folder do the games need to be in?

I am using Evox dash 3935.

I've tried placing games in e: and f:, I have also tired making a folder titled "games"/"GAMES" in each of the directories.

I have also changed the name of the game to only a few characters.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Would the format of the game matter.

Current format is an iso file.

if you're trying to access games that you copied to your hardrive(such as halo 2) then just place it in E/Games and you just run the default.xbe to load it up.

But if you're talking about roms to run with emulators, put those in the games folder and run the emulator then find the game. I think it's usually in a .bin format

Does that entail the game to be in its extended format (not and iso)?

after further searching i found that f: is the larger of the two. (between e: and f:)

and "f:\games\nameofgame\default.xbe" how does one obtain the default.xbe, is that just a file found when not in iso format?

.xbe is the launcher for the xbox. there should be a default.xbe in your game to launch it.

xbox can only launch .xbe, not .exe, or anything else

My problem wasthat the games where in iso format.

I found that games in iso format must be opened by a program such as magiciso.

Then the game will look like this:

    DATA
    DASHUPDATE.XBE
    DEFAULT.XBE
    UPDATE.XBE

Then move the files onto the xbox

    F/games/nameofgame/gamecontents

Thank you for your help guys

just pop your game in the xbox go to a file manger like xbmc
then on f or e make a folder called games
in games make a new folder name it what the game is called example halo 2 if you want to put halo 2 on hd
then in that folder copy all the data of the game in the xbox
    it takes like 10 mins
    easy
