Ok heres my situation, I wanted to put a theme on my brand new iPod Video,I looked at Lethal_B's Post on modding, Ok I have already had a iPod Video and it was just black and nothing was diffrent about it in anyway(except diffrent serial number and ya you get the point).

Ok Now when I got it,I had iTunes 7.0.2,Witch is the latest one, And I had modded my other iPod Video with an earlier version of iTunes(Get to that in a bit).

Anyways I was reading and doing exactually what Lethal said and then I came to where it was to "Load All",And I clicked on it and loaded the folder and nothing happned, So I check and made sure I had the updater loaded,And the frimware.

Next I tried just loading one at a time, Nothing happned. Don't know what is up with that. But I think it might be with the new update 1.2.1,If thats one of the updates.

So I say screw it I will just see if I can even update this String I modded,And I went to up date it with the 2006-06-28 or somthing 2006-06-?.And it said iPod dosn't use that type of updater anymore and it uses the one out of iTunes.Seeing how the new iTunes has this new Update already in itunes for you. And I tried reinstalling ealier itunes went back to the one that was the last one right before 7, so it was 6 somthing.

Anyways when I tried doing 6 it said that the itunes library was created with a newer version of itunes and it could boot up it would have to put in 7 or higher.

Well since that didn't work I tried IHack and I patched it thinking maybe it would trick iTunes into leting me Up Date it. And It didn't so I am not sure what to do or how to get aorund this. Let me know if anyone has any answers or suggestions. Or if I'm Just Ishhhtt Out of Luck.Laterz

dude... i couldn't be bothered to read all that but here...

i made this for some guy called nissan1 or something...

just make sure you follow these steps:

**iPod must be in disc mode (done in iTunes, in the iPod tab)

    1. open iPodwizard (duh!)
    2. change "updater" to "iPod" at top-left
    3. click load, or whatever it says
    4. wait till it has finished loading
    5. go to here and grab a theme
    6. if its for 1.1 use "Ipod G5 Skin 1.1.1-1.2 Converter_v1.1" to convert it
    7. it will now be in a folder called "new" inside the original folder
    8. now its 1.2 use"5g to 5.5g ipod 1.2 themes" to change the images' names
    9. click "load all" on ipodwizard
    10. select the correct images
    11. use the little drop-down menu the make sure all the images are okay (you will notice if they are not)
    12. click write (beside where you selected "iPod" instead of "updater")
    13. click OK until it says something like, "all you need to do now is safely romove your iPod... etc."
    14. safely remove your iPod by clicking on the little icon down the bottom of the screen (beside the clock)
    15. click OK ** keep your iPod plugged in**
    16. IT SHOULD BE DONE!!

if there are any problems, let me know...

    peace...

god, thats alot of typing right there. Phew!!

You damn puppy,Scared of all that typing. You have to read it in order to know what is wrong, And the thing that is wrong is the old updater that we download and you can update and restore is used in iTunes 7 now and they won't let you downgrade, Or anything, And the version of the Firmware. Who knows though. thankx for the helo though. Anyone esle?? No offense sent by calling you a puppy, jsut being sarcastic.1

P.S. My computer keeps kicking my ipod out. Like it won't stay connected to my pc(windows). Anyone know what the deal is.I even checked the disc use thing in iTunes. where I have to manually eject it and it still does it. Any suggstions??????????????
