Apologies in advance if this topic has been extensively discussed over and over again. I would appreciate a link.

Here's what happened... I'm using the trial for CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD. I copied Swordfish. Played it on my DVD player, fine, smooth, no problems. At this point I'm itching to by the software. But then I try out a new movie - Coach Carter. Everything went just the same as before, I even got - "Successful" at the end. Pop it in the SAME DVD player, it tells me - cannot play this DVD... huh?

What's up? (I just checked, it plays on my PC, but not on the regular DVD player)

Oh, and one more thing... Are these 2 the best software available? I used to use DVDXCopy Platinum but it suddenly died, so I'm looking for something 'superior'

    hi

never used these ones, i use dvd decrypter (may need dvd43 running in background on new dvd's out? but not always) and dvd shrink for compressing. all 3 apps are free and very good try them...

not sure why you got an error on second, can only think its different media used? but i spose you will say not? so not sure?

burn speed can be a big issue! i burn at 4x... even try 2x

what is the dvd id codes of the dvdr you are useing? use dvdinfo pro / dvd identifier to tell us here...

Thanks for the tip. Sorry for the delay. I used decrypter plus DVD43 and CloneDVD2 and it worked. :)
