My crystal ball is a little cloudy.... What programs are you using? What is the error word for word? When do you get the error...during the rip, encode or burn? I'm assuming you are talking about two older movies which DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter should handle by their lonesome.
I have tried those both and as soon as I am asked to insert a blank DVD, shortly after, it reports a burn error. I have also tried Ripit4me
Sounds like a cheap media problems or firmware problem. Make sure you firmware is up to date here and only use quality media such as verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.
