    Just in case you haven't heard, today (4-24) Apple announced the 17" Macbook Pro. The specs include the following...

    2.16 Intel Core Duo Processor
    667 MHz front-side bus
    Up to 2GB of RAM (667 MHz DDR@ SDRAM)
    iSight Camera, Frontrow
    MagSafe Power Adapter
    ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 PCI Express graphics 256MB
    Firewire 800, Firewire 400
    Bluetooth, Airport Extreme
    Weight = 0.1 lbs less than Albooks
    Backlit Keyboard
    5x faster & 36% brighter

    Price: $2799

    Any thoughts???

    Now you can get one for $1600. Not worth it thought considering that you can get a MacBook for $1100

    they basically upgraded the GHz to 2.0 instead of the regular 1.83GHz and added a glossy screen, so since they did that you can get a refurbished one for $1600. Check the Apple Store refurbished website.

    i have heard the same thing.. i dont know if its true.. but that many ppl are talking about it...

    only way to find out is to go to the apple store.. pick one up and feel under it..
    dont tell any of the store reps what you're doing.. just test it for yourself.
