I have 1 click and a duel layer dvd burner.

And duel layer option on 1click.

I burn duel layer, all goes well.

Can play disk on puter but not in dvd player, says no disk.

its a apex and plays about anything.

Any ideas on what the problem might be ?

Latest firmware for dvd duel layer burner installed.

Never have issue, with 1click, but now wanting to do some duel layer units. I check and made sure i have right duel layer disks.

As I mentioned, burns fine, plays on puter fine, but not on dvd player.

Sounds like you are burning on +R media and not booktyping it to -ROM... Look at your manual, I bet it doesn't list DVD+R....

I have one of these it is a couple of years old and it will not play dual layers. Plays everything else fine though.

You are 100% correct, it was the apex. Be darn, I would not have figured that to be the problem.

Picked up a new one and it works just fine.

Glad it is now working for you. When I burned my first dual layer I tried out on 5 different players and the Apex was one of them. That player really hated them. DVD players have firmware in them just like you computer drives, unfortunately most of them will not let you update it. So as new media comes on the market if the player does not recognize it, the player has problems.
