I tried making a copy of The Ultimate Carson Collection disk 2 & 3 last night. After 4 hours I gave up! I started with DVD43 and 1Click DVD Copy 5 - once DVD43 finished it's job I went to 1Click and go a message that the disk was encrypted. I tried again with DVD43 and 1Click still got the encryped message. So I downloaded DVD Fab Platinum, It made the copy for me on disk 2 but the second segment on the disk was jumpy kind of like it was doing one frame at a time but faster if you know what I mean (I even tried playing it in 3 different DVD players). Then I tried disk 3 just to see what happened and it copied the menu would not work I had to go through extras to see anything.
I know I am a newbie to all this but I have been making copies with 1Click & DVD43 with no problems till now and DVD Fab did not do a good job. Is it me the programs I am using or fate?

    Follow Up!

After reading many of the post in AD on RipIt4Me I decided to give it a try. It took about an hour of readind and re-reading the guide but I finaly got RipIt4Me, DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink and FixVTS downloaded and running. I copied both of the Carson disk again with the above programs then used 1Click DVD Copy 5 to copy to the DVD. The quality was much better but there sure must be a quicker way.
I used the RipIt4Me wizard on disk 3 and the RipIt4Me 1Click method on disk 2. It took about 6 to 7 minutes to rip and around 12 minutes to burn.
Am I sold on RipIt4Me? Not yet! I am going to try it a few more times to see before I make up my mind.
    Thanks to all.

Alamo-1Click DVD Pro or 5 both remove all copy protection except area protection-Thats why they say to install the program DVD14-Its free and runs in the background-You need do nothing to it-At least I don't-The decryting is done by 1Click as you burn-Did you convert the file before you burned it?-You can download a free trial of Convert X to DVD-it will convert then burn if you want it to-I usually use that program only if it needs decrypting; after converting I burn it with the 1Click-It plays everywhere every time-And the quality is great most of the time-SO simple-I think I paid a total of 80.00 for both programs and yes you get free tech support for a year then it costs 18.00 for Another year-plus they throw in COPY TO DVD for free--Gee lets see how much is a ticket these days?-what a bargain!Batman Begins in HD! AMAZING!--I wonder why there are so may idiots putting bogus names on dvd files-real funny-I put in Superman and got friggin porn!-Glad the kids were not here-too many braindead surfers out there!

Robspace1 I use 1Click DVD Copy 5 and DVD43 for most of my coping and burning but "The Ultimate Johnny Carson Collection" would not work with these programs. I just copied Jeeves and Wooster with them and no problem. It must have been the protection on the Carson disk that DVD43 could not remove.
As for the prono on Superman, there are so many people that want to make a fast buck they just don't care who they rip off. I had a friend buy a TV from a guy and when he got it home it was just the shell of the TV with bricks inside instead of the TV.

Alamo-Well' glad ya got it done-Who knows what all Hollywood is trying out -Everything and anything to get the consumer to pick up a new copy of a movie that you already bought; and little Jimmie detstroyed-I don't make many second backup copies of anything-but when I do copy a disk to disk I use this external burner I got at Meglomart-It's the Lite On-EZ Dub-real simple to use-just push the button and blam-new copy-I was just reading up on a convertor from LG Software/1Click DIVX TO DVD- and it burns-Have you tried it?-I wonder if it removes protection before the burn as their other programs do-If so; then all that would be needed would be the DVD43 running in the background-to remove the area protection-I just sent them an email asking them to put together an all in 1 program-If they don't it's because of the money deal-I will try and download that Carson show on Limewire Pro-I'll let you know what happens-So far I have had very little problem getting a flick onto disk-but-the way things go; that could change tommorro-Still looking for the real Superman-lots of fakes!
