Ok here is the problem. I aquired some 79 files in a download the other day, we'll call them TDU.part01.RAR TDU.part02.RAR ETC.... all the way to TDU.part78.RAR and then TDU.SFV inside these .RAR files is 2 files 1 file is TDU.MDF.AVI it is 3.9X GB I am assuming it is accounting for all files in all of the .RAR files. the second one is TDU.MDS.AVI it is 34,171kb Those 2 files were in part.01.RAR In part.02.rar and all following .RAR files the TDU.MDF.AVI file has this after it: <-> I dunno what this is for. I tried extracting the .RAR files as I would extract any .RAR file. It took about 6 minutes or so and then a message popped up, never mind I'm an idiot i tried it again and it says part 78 failed, CRC check sum and file is corrupt. I did an SFV check earlier with QuickSFV after reading one of your threads on this site it said everything was ok. so i guess i'm SOL
I might aswell ask this anyways. What would I have done with these files anyways Why would they have a .AVI extention on them, I am pretty sure the .mds and .mdf files are for use with Alcohol 120 But i've never used them before. they are game files not Movie clips.
