after you have encoded both files to mpeg2, then you have a few programs that you can use.

    shrink
    nero recode
    tmpgenc dvd author

If you check the guides tab out at the top of the page , have a read off the tmpgenc dvd author guide. If you still have questions just repost and we will see about helping you with the next step

    Hi there,

    VSO DivxToDVD v1.99 Pre-Release will:

    - Convert all your internet movies (.AVI / .MPG etc..) to DVD Format

    - Add subtitles (using .srt files / More formats to come in future releases)

    - Add chapters to each files

    - Create a menu (Menu entry for each file, based on the filename, for now)

    - Burn your DVD creation to media, with it's own built in burn engine

Just to add on cougar_ii's comments (who's been so enthusiastic about VSO): I've tested VSO (commerical version) just recently. For encoding, it's slower than the freeware version (about 1:1 time on my machine), but is even more effective. I have a couple of avis that all other converters had difficulties working with, yet VSO (commercial version) still managed to convert without any problem. On the other hand, it's only average when it comes to burning.

    That's my personal experience only.

    Hi there,

Curious: Why do you say average when it comes to burning ?

It's with comments / questions that VSO can make the software better.

If you tried to burn with v1.99.20.60 (Patin-Couffin v1.30 Driver) and you had AnyDVD running in the background, yes you will have issues.

VSO is currently working on a fix for this right now.

If this is the case, turn AnyDVD off to burn with VSO Software until this issue I found has been fixed. (Today or very soon I was told)...

Other than this current bug, I thing VSO Software burn engine is smooth and solid, then again this is *MY* opinion :)

    So enthusiastic, cougar_ii *_*

Let me repeat, re. encoding, I think VSO (commercial version) is by far the best --- not the fastest, but the surest.

Re. burning, I tested it on one real cheap blank dvd, worked on my newer dvd player, but not on the older one. With e.g. Nero or Decrypter, worked on both.

    Hi there,

Just wanted to make sure you are aware, but the demo version adds a watermark to your output, making the conversion 50% slower then when you purchase it.

I never really tested the demo, so not sure how slow it is :)

On my P4 (3.2 Ghz) pc, I usually hit around x1.6 (45fps) average.

Maybe you have a faster machine, mine only hits about x1.0.
