I bought a used xbox to switch the dvd-roms from my purchase to my old xbox. I was told that it was easier to switch hard drives. Now I find out each hard drive is locked to a specific motherboard. I have my old drive back with its original motherboard, but I still get "Error 6". How do I get my xbox to read its own hard drive again!

Error 6 means the HDD is locked to another motherboard! Unless you've changed the eeprom settings, you've got the wrong HDD with the wrong motherboard!
