I apologize if this is posted elsewhere..What is the easiest way to take 2 mpeg files that were originally on cd's and burn to a dvd. I can drag the files and burn with Veritas, but it comes up as unrecognized file format. If it is already in mpeg format shouldn't I be able to just copy, burn, and play? Do I have to rip? convert? not sure. I have a HP dvd burner, DvdXCopy, Veritas Record Now Software and Nero. __X_X_X_X_X_[small]Diannah Fitzgerald[/small]
Are they mpeg2?? If so, use TMPGEnc DVD Author to convert them to VOB format and then burn with Record Now Deluxe. Get User Guides on both programs, and the programs themselves here: http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/user_guides.htm
actually the files are avi. What I am really trying to figure out is how to take these two avi files..merge them together, and burn them onto a dvd, in a format that can be played on a regular home dvd player..Is there software that can do that all..
Use TMPGEnc to convert from avi to mpeg2 and then use the DVD Author program to convert it to VOB format for DVD. You can then create menus so tat both can be linked together
Thanks..I can download TMPGEnc..is the DVD Author Progam another download/program in addition..Can you provide me a some instructions on how to do that..._X_X_X_X_X_[small]Diannah Fitzgerald[/small]
