1: VirtalDub When I try to start my encoding it says "Error initializing audio stream compression: The requested conversion is not possible" - what can I do? 2: TMPGenc When I re-encode an MPEG-1-file (to cut some parts out) there's always some bugs in the audio-stream which are really nasty. How can I avoid this problem?
I am trying to convert to .mp3 and I think it's a wav-stream in the file. Many times before it worked without a problem, but now all of a sudden...
Virtual Dub doesnt work with mp3s only wav audio. But, you can use the program CDeX which will take your wav audio and convert it to mp3 with a wav heading which basically means that virtual dub will think that your mp3 file is really a wav file and you can encode your movie. Go into the guide section of the site and look into the dvd to divx 16:9 anamorphic guide, itll give you the download site for CDex and help explain the process even more.
I will try it, but I already tried to save the wav-stream, convert it to .mp3 and mux it with the compressed video file. The result was a delay in sound for like 1 or 2 seconds. Do you think that this problem won't accur?
Im not too sure if it will occur or not because its never happened to me. Im sure there was a way to fix that delay though, try asking around.
