I have a burner that can burn dual layer discs but I have never tried it with such media. I have been using Shrink to compress and copy dvd's. I have a two sided dvd now that I would like to copy but I dont want to put it on two separate discs. Is it possible to use Shrink to put both sides onto one dual layer disc? Or is there a better way?
Yes it can be done. See this (from the Guide section) for some help; http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/multiple_dvd_to_dvdr_dvd_shrink.cfm Just treat the two sides as if they were sepatate movies in the guide example. You can select the DVD-9 target size in shrink and burn with DVD Decrypter in the ISO mode. regards
thank you muchly! I have never used DeCrypter so I could be back with more questions. But I will be sure to read the guides first!
If you go with the DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter combo remember you can select the option in DVD Shrink to burn ISO with DVD Decrypter and Shrink will automatically call decrypter which will burn the disk. Note that although DVD Decrypter and Shrink can still handle almost all of the region 1 (US) movies released to date. In the future there will be some newer programs needed for the ripping part. regards
