    Hi all,

sorry for this newbie post, I have read for a long while here today and can't find an answer so apologies to the mods & regs if this has been asked before and I missed it. I run a few forums, and moderate on some really busy ones as well so appreciate how tough it can be with the same old questions being asked.

I have an LG gsa-4081b dvd burner. I downloaded a copy of Nero 6 the newest version of the movie express thing :) Anyhow, I can pull in the video, do the titles etc, then set it off to burn. It is exactly the same with a copy of Ulead moviemaker also.

Problem is that it says 'burning title 1' time remaining 2hours 30 minutes. Is this normal, or does it signal a problem?

I am just burning a 600mB video file that went onto a CD in about a minute and a half. The system is only a Duron 1300 with 256Ram (130meg available). The system has just been cleaned down so there is nothing there to drag it down. I checked that the drive is working in DMA not PIO (I think the last acronym was right)

Oh & the thing is writing at 2x when it is an 8x drive. although the media I ordered is 4x (oops)

Like I said guys any advice would be appreciated as all of this is totally new to me, I just do SEO :)

    Cheers

Is that the entire encoding and burning process?

That would be about right because the video probably will have to be re-encoded and considering your Duron 1300 with 256MB Ram. Adding more memory might help some.
