Hi, I have 3 svcds which i wanted to combine and burn to a dvd. The entire movie is a little over 2 hours. I managed to combine the three seperate files (using MPEG Joiner) into one big svcd file (2.25GB). However, if I run the file on computer, it will play to end but say it was only 45 minutes long (Using Nero Showtime and ATI file player). When I load file into a couple of authoring programs, the file time says 45 minutes. I burned using nero vision and the file takes up 2.5 GB but stops after 45 minutes when playing in DVD player. Can anyone help? Should the original svcds have been left as seperate files on DVD? Or is there someother way to combine? Thanks, I need the help.

    Two ways.

1.) Leave them separate and join in your authoring app. Even Nerovision Express will join them into one long file. You should NOT have joined them first, especially in some magical file joiner (that you're finding out works great on computer, and sucks for everything else).

2.) Join them in a good joiner, such as tmpgenc's merge tool, or womble's mpeg-wizard. These tools don't just stick the beginning of one file onto the end of the first, they actually re-encode the joined bit (overlapping if needed) so that the timecode is rewritten correctly, and the GOP is standardized (a MUST for DVD work).
