no experience with chips but i softmodded my xbox and installed a 320gig and all you need to do to get the full space is format the G: drive using unleashx.
hi james thanx for ur help , but i think the process is different for chipped boxes, but thanx any way, cheers .... Ernie
You are in the wrong section, If your xbox has a mod chip that means it's hard modded and you should be in the hard mod section. The first topic in that section explains how to prepare a hard drive using a mod chip..... http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/366945 here's a link for you Make sure you follow directions, the first ones are for softmod xbox's and the ones below that are for the hardmod boxes.
hi, thanx for letting me know i was in wrong section , i'm still very new to all this , but thanx once again , cheers ... Ernie
hey you might want to check and see if your bios supports the LBA4 or something like that which is basically going over 137GB. If it doesnt then there is an application to run during your boot up to load a custom bios.
