WTF? 311's new stuff sounds like crap. Like many other good rock bands from the 90s, they have lost their talent for writing good new music, just like Chili Peppers, Offspring, and Foo Fighters. The only band still kicking ass making good new music is Green Day
Well, I personally have never heard of these guys and, well, in my personal opinion, that song sucked!! Maybe their old stuff was better, I don't know, but each to his own I guess.
311 Blows!!!! there first album was a total RIP-OFF of Black Sabbath "Masters Of Reality" album rap/rock bands..sucks now and always!!!
yup..thank god limp bizkit died. 311 seems pretty weak now, do hopefully they won't be around much longer. the only other stupid rap/rock band is linkin park, those no talent screaming idiots.
LOL djscoop ,you nailed that one on the head i also was a DJ had a mobile service for about 10 years and helped program a local radio station
thats cool. I DJ'd for about 5 years, had a mobile setup with a standard rolling rack, with a computer running win2k. had dual soundcards and dual winamps, so I played my music off that, and just crossfaded with an external mixer. and had dual CD player as backup. I even had a 15" LCD monitor that slip up from the top of the rack behind the mixer...it was a pretty sweet setup. Carver amps and everything. I used to DJ wedddings...they were the easiest gigs ever. It was the same songs over and over, everyone was always in a good mood, the pay was really good, and best of all, open bar! But now I teach audio production at a local college in LA, haven't DJ'd in about 3 years. Fun times though.
very cool setup man i had Halfer amps. EV speakers Peavey mixer 2 cd players and a couple turntables and a killer light setup with a fog machine also did lots of wedding receptions 300 plus in the 10 years i did it ,that was where the money is at and company Christmas partys enjoyed it much playing music drinking beer watching the pretty girls and then getting payed good money at the end of the night and WOW do i have some great stories ,we did it from 1985 to about 1996
cool man. I had a numark CD player, technics 4 channel mixer, 1 X 10" JBL small speakers, and 2 X 15" JBL towers. I just had a few basic party lights, nothing fancy like yours. I always meant to get a fog machine but never got around to it. Yeah having drunk hot bridesmaids beggin you to play songs never got old...lol
We started from scratch geestar doing partys at the apartment complex we lived at and it snowballed like crazy from there people asking us to do there wedding reception ,and then one of there freinds would be getting married and so on and so on.and knowing your music, sound equiment etc. is really important too ,being able to read the crowd know what there wanting to here it was def. and great time in my life something i will never forget it was just all timing for us ,we both knew our music and had a good audio background
Well, I personally don't like 311's new "Don't Tread on Me" (old stuff was better!) I do like "Thank your lucky stars" and a few other new songs they released. My personal favorite of their songs is probably "Beautiful Disaster" or "Creatures for a While". Also, I don't like the new Green Day stuff, its nothing comparied to the old stuff of theirs!
