I ran the Vista checker software and it said the Home Basic would suit my PC my question is I have read everywhere about 32bit and 64 bit machines I have no idea what mine might be. It was made about six months ago and is a celeron 2.8 what is the simple way to find out 32 or 64 bit? I really plan on sticking with XP to the bitter end but it comforts me to know I could upgrade if needed. any help appreciated. oh the vista checker software made no mention of my graphics capability is this a ploy to suck people into buying Vista and it won't even work without spending on upgrades? for that matter I could not tell you my graphics card either basic computer stores don't give much info
I should be a little more specific I downloaded the 'upgrade advisor' for Vista checks on XP from the Microsoft website URL: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/upgradeadvisor made no mention of 32 or 64 bit and no mention of my graphics cap. anyone know if it actually checks these two hardware issues?
http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php download that little beaut and it should tell you what you want to know.
