My wife gave me an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum sound card for Christmas. When tax money came, I bought a set of Logitech Z-5300e 5.1 speakers. DVD-Audio discs sound great. I need a software dvd player that outputs 5.1 surround, for movies. I have Power DVD 6 and WinDVD 4. Both want me to buy a 5.1 add-on for their players. I can't afford it now. I bought the speakers. I bought a new printer. And now my wife's car is in the shop having the transmission rebuilt! Does anyone know of a freeware dvd player that outputs 5.1? I'm not cheap. I just can't afford it now.
