600 mhz celeron, big question

    Hi, I recenly had to sned my 3.0 ghz laptop in to HP for a new motherboard, wondering if this comp can handle dvd squeeze until my good comp comes back? 600 mhz celeron
    128mb ram
    5200 rpm hard drive
    14.2 gb of hard drive?

    what windows are you using as you should get more ram? how much space left on your hd??

    windows 98, and Im gonan do a system restore so i will have 14.2 gigs left

    than how big is your hd than when you posted it as 14.2gig

    I did backups with dvdshrink on a emachine 300 mhz celeron 64 mb ram and 14 gig hd left. Worked alot slower than my amd xp but it still did the job, so I'd say give it a try, just don't try and run anything while doing it.

    I was using dvd shrink with quality enhancements on a 600MHz laptop with 512 MB RAM, took up to 5 hours with some movies. It will do it, it'll just take a while.
