Can you setup 7.1 surround sound receivers to 5.1. I don't really want 7.1 because thats too many speakers. All the latest receivers seem to be going 7.1. Is this possible or does it depend on the receiver?
yup, the sound card probably has some driver suite that allows you to switch the options around to 4.1 5.1 and so on, you can also use the windows sound setting area start>control panel> and select "Sound and audio devices", or "Sound speech and audio devices",its even accessible in the taskbar in this area you may also find a short cut to your software suite for your audio card in classic view in category view and at task bar any questions? post back! -tripplite
