I'm using ConvertXtoDVD, and trying to burn a 801MB file. What I need to know is how I get this file either onto one DVD (without losing quality) or have ConvertXtoDVD burn it onto 2 DVDs (preferred).

You will lose quality no mater how you do this. Due to encoding from an AVI file to a DVD. 1 DVD or 2 DVD should not make a difference in this case. The only way to keep the quality of the AVI video would be to burn it to a DATA disc and play it on a compatible DivX/Xvid DVD player.

    Are you familiar with ConvertXtoDVD?
If so, how do I burn this file to a DVD? Will it tell me automatically that the file is too large and ask for another DVD or will I waste time converting the file, only to have ConvertXtoDVD tell me it's too large for one DVD?

Follow the below image to set your output size to DVD5 (Single Layer) or DVD9(Double Layer) disc...

I already read through all that and figured that I needed to be set at DVD-5...does this mean that ConvertXtoDVD will inform me to put another DVD in when it gets full??????????
    PS. preciate your help!
