A burning issue!

    I know, I'm new to it all. Xvid, films-> I want to burn to R+ disc(if correct) and just play in a DVD Player or combi DVD/TV.
    I have tried, but the disc just won't read. Any pointers?

    What brand/type of disc are you using?
    What speed did you burn the disc at?
    What is the file extension of the video files you have currently?
    What program did you use to convert the file before you burned it to a DVD?
    Did you convert the file before you burned it to a DVD?
    What program did you use to burn your DVD?
