its strange, im burning a DVD-R and the first 2 will be ok and play on everything but then the next few wont play on standalone DVDs only PC , nero says it has burned ok, i even tried not selecting to burn 5 copies and just burn 1 at a time but it still does it. i have the file on the hard drive so i would have thought it would be safe and unalterable on there.

Any help on the subject would be appreciated.

You might just be useing Cheap DVD-R"s...I know when I used to use cheapo Disks I get about 30% Failure rate and the Disks that do work only last a few months a best untill they just stop being able to be played on my DVD players ,I think this is because Cheap DVD"s use a Cheap Origanic Dye that seems to degrade very Quickly and do not hold a Burn very well..It is allways best to spend a few extra Bucks and get better Quality DVD-R"s..I"ve been useing TDK Disks and Maxell and they work Great and they are about $1.50 each...Cheers

thanks for the tip but i have already had a cheap disc issue b4 and now i will only use ritek G04's. i seem to have eased the problem a bit by slowing the burn speed all the way down, theres still a few errors but i will live.

well im gonna see if i cant help some of the newbies out and see if any of the solutions to problems i have encountered are useful to others(i gotta lose this newbie branding, bad for image)
