Continuing with my low budget build that i'll be purchasing in the next few days (have been out of town for a month), i was wondering...are sound cards are worth it/will make enough of a difference from integrated sound, or is it mostly a "load" thing?

I'll be getting a low budget SC (we're talking $10-25 at most), should i even bother?

Also, am i wasting money to get a 7.1 SC if all i'm gonna use it for is 5.1?

Lastly, how big of a difference is 16bit from 24bit?

Heres the SC i was looking at, no reviews unfortunately =/

Thank everyone, your always helpful =)

Proper PCI sound cards are leagues apart from onboard sound, but as long as you have one, it doesn't make much of a difference which one you go for unless you're a true audiophile or musician. I typically recommend SoundBlaster Audigy SE cards, because they're cheap and come with decent software. However, many people boycott Creative products because of their appalling attitude to customer service. I leave that up to the individual.
