I have IE set up to remember passwords and it's not doing its job.

Any suggestions, freeware that could do the same function.

    Many thanks,

When you say you have IE set to remember passwords, do you clear your cookies or run ccleaner after you use it?

Because if you do that will get rid of any passwords IE has been storing.

Are you seriouly posting this as a reply to be helpful? A good majority of my passwords are the same for forums and write it down; what century are you living in?

I'm betting on Eva's solution being the problem.

Opera has the wand and Firefox has it's own built in password manager. But as stated if you clear your cookies or run Ccleaner you'll lose those passwords.

There are options in CCleaner to keep cookies.

At least at Computer-Juice you don't get rediculous replys like

"You can use a pen/pencil and write everything down" Which I'm guessing that poster thinks I wont remember my passwords? The benefit to the setting in IE is not to have to type them in everytime, the problem is noot knowing the passwords,

Thanks to everyone who did provide good helpful responses,

    MPenney

I know that, but the default setting is on...so unless you change it the cookies will be deleted. So did anything fix your problem?
