I have a new Sony (TRV22?) digital camcorder along with the Ulead MF2 software. I am looking to burn the film footage onto a DVD-R or DVD-RW disk. Does the material being captured have to be converted to another format (other than what the ULead MF2 software provides) to get the highest resolution on the finished disk? Thanks.

It needs to be mpeg2 to be DVD compatible and it needs authoring into VOBs (the mpeg) and IFOs (the info that tells the dvd player what to do with the VOBs)

I don't if Ulead MF does this (it will output DVD compatible mpeg2 but I don't know if outputs VOBs).
