A recomendation please...

Hi, new to posting but I have been reading many of the different forums. I have read this particular forum a fair bit but the one thing that has not become clear to me is what systems are best. Please can any and all give me their opinion for educational purposes please:

Location: Gloucestershire and possible SmellyWest subscriber.
Question: What descrumbling box would you recomend for someone with a fair amount of technical ability?
(preferably with internal HDD for recording, aka PVR)

 

your looking to build a computer? or a TV?

 

Preferably just a Box solution and not a full blown PC,
but would consider all options.

 

what do you want in it?
like for video card
ram
harddrive
power supply
processor & mothetboard

dvd/cd drives

and whats your budget and what will you be using the pc for?

 

I don't know what I would want in it which is why I was not looking for a PC based solution.

why was it ok when you first posted a reply?
what had changed?

P.S. Don't accuse me of piracy, It was noted in my first post that it was for educational purposes.

 

yes i know you said for educational purposes at first i misunderstood your post thinking that you just wanted to build a regular pc
