when converting to vcd, you will be saving as a mpg file. these can be played in most dvd players, however you will not be garunteed the same resolution or quality as if you were to convert directly to dvd.

    1) create your VCD movies
    2) author your DVD movies into a DVD with DVD-Lab (read, about DVD-lab using, among our guides). This way, a DVD (4500 MB) can contain VCD movies. Otherwise, you would be forced to but VCD movies on CD-Rs.
