a780 lan cable?

can someone tell me when i have to plug the lan cable into the box before or after i do the scan for channels? or does it make no difference this will be the first time scan for the box.thanks in advance.

 

I myself have done three a780s and I tuned them first....then plugged the ethernet cable in.All good.Best wishes

 

thanks for your answer also are the channel numbers on the a780 same as vermin channel numbers ie 101=bbc1 ect?

Make sure if you are missing channels that you have scanned on your correct Net Id for your area.

You need to go into chann-edit in menu & you can either lock skip or delete channs.
RED--ALL--MENU will access chann-edit
If you delete channs make sure you turn off POWER-SEARCH MODE in menu, otherwise any deleted
channs will scan in any time box is put on standby

 

Is it possible to move channels around on kv780 ? I have been in channel manager but can't find options for moving. Any advice would be apreciated.

You can create a list of channels in any order you wish in the FAV lists, but you cannot move
channels in the ALL channels list

 

thx eamo_too. i notice iam a few channels commin up as scrambled or no video itv+1 and cbs reality and syfy dunno wats causing that as most of the rest are working fine.i have done a factory reset and new scan still the same,done a power scan still the same few channels scrambled sig is 77 q is 79 any ideas? seems like alot of people having the same probs with them channels but i have the main ones i wanted.

 

Would seem to me these channels are not running on the server. ITV+1 is FTA channel so I'm
sure that will be sorted soon. E45 would be able to tell you more about it. Anyway if you are
only missing channels you have mentioned it's not too bad is it. For SyFy fans SyFy+1 is not
scrambled so you can view channels, just 1 hour later than you planned

 

ok thanks. it seems all the missing channels are on the same tp 458mhz all the channels on that are missing i will try a scan on tw instead of excw see if that works we pick up both here.

 

no prob not added to the krypt side of things i would say

 

no difference on tw.maybe a fix will come out soon it seems like it an area problem as people from other areas work fine apart from where i live.
