scan for it on the day, put the box in standby and leave it for 30 mins, the powerscan will pick it up

the krypt has a auto/powerscan built in, when left in standby it scans the network for any moved chans or new chans, you should be picking the chan up now when you scan, so leave it on standby for about 30 mins and any new chans will show up.

for future events instead of doing power search, could I do an auto scan. I assume this will bring back any deleted channels as well. This method is probably quicker than putting the box in standby for 30min. Which means I can't watch anything for 30 min before the start of the event.

You probably wont have to do a scan at all to be honest, my box is never switched off and no scan was done, unfortunately i still managed to watch poor Fraudley get embarrassed again. But if for some reason you do then auto scan will be suffice.
