    Hello all

My head is about to explode with a PC problem that I have not encountered before. I have a Dell desktop which is basically stuffed. In an attempt to fix I have booted from windows CD and carried out a windows fix. So far so good. It gets to the stage where it installs devices and then requests the following:

ialmnt5.sys on intel (R) graphics media accelerator driver required.

After some web research I found the file in system32 driver folder. I tried to install it but it comes up with the windows incompatability message. I click yes and then my mouse and keyboard freeze and thats as far as i get. Can anyone please tell me what that is all about? I am totally out of ideas!!!!! :-(

    Cheers Budgie

Gee, can't you try to be any more vague? :p

Let's see, a display driver for NT5 beginning with i.

    IntelĀ® 82865G Graphics Controller driver http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/Product_Filter.asp?ProductID=1044

    IntelĀ® 82845G Graphics Controller driver http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/Product_Filter.asp?ProductID=865

I can't see from here which graphics controller you have, so if it's not either of those, go to Intel's Download Center
    http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/support_intel.asp?iid=Corporate+Header_Supp_downloads&
and pick the correct one from "Graphics" section.

Okay, here's the fix for the Intel 915 mobo.
Not positive this your motherboard, becuase you didnt
    post the specs,

You can also download the intel identification utilty
    from there website.

Make sure have your exact Motherboard, then you can get right driver.

    Best of luck

just follow the links and directions for the Intel 915 mobo.
