    1) Does the Sony Bravia KDL series to anyen's knowledge have a built in de-interlacer? (I cant seem to find out for the life of me)

    2) IS there a way to turn the darn thing on? or is it on all the time?

    3) Are component cables required to use deinterlacing??

    Thanks

All EDTVs and HDTVs have built-in de-interlacers. They must in order to support progressive scan playback.

In the case of a fixed pixel display like an LCD the de-interlacer engages anytime an interlaced signal is being received.

Thats a strange question. Component Video is capable of carrying a Progressive Scan signal (if thats what you mean).
