I want to rip a dvd and then recompile it completely with DVDlab pro.
My Question is how I can rip the subtitles from the original disc, alter some translation errors, store them and then insert the new asset in DVDlab project.
    Anybody can suggest something?
    Thanks!

After ripped on the HD you can demux (split) the file to convert them into separate streams (that is, video, audio and subtitles). In other words you break the original file into separate ones.

You can use subtitle workshop to correct your subtitles and then save them for later use.

For instance, I use VOBEdit to demux a ripped hard drive. Therefore you get all the m2v, mpa and the subtitle file (can't remember its extension right now).
You edit the subtitle with Subtitle workshop, place all modifications required, save it as *.srt. Then open SRT2SUP, ans save it as *.sup. To correct colors you finally open the *.sup file with subremap and voilĂ !
