I tried the cw shreeder but no luck. I am trying to find a free trial of the adware away but again no luck. The adware away scan shows 5 infections so I will keep trying to find a trial version. Thanks

I had the same problem with the aboutblank virus, as well as some other issues. I downloaded StopZilla from download.com. After I had installed, and ran my first scan, it not only removed the aboutblank problem, but found 198 other problems also. Some of them were cookies, and some were registry problems. StopZilla worked fabulous for me, and I haven't had a problem with Pop-ups or infestations since. You may want to check it out for yourself. Best of luck. Pops
