AC-3 ACM CODEC cnoverting to mpeg layer 3

    hi... have a film which i have downloaded great picture quality but the audio is a bit suspect.background music is fine but when the actors speak they are very quiet im sure its because its not mpeg layer 3 audio format the audio on the film is ac3-acm decompressor does anyone have any info on how i can convert this to mpeg 3 to rectify this problem...

    AC3 has a wide dynamic range. The soft parts are softer and the loud parts are louder. That is the way it is supposed to be (your AC3 is most likely the original untouched from the DVD source). You could try enabling DRC and boost in your decoder.

    For re-encoding to mp3 I would suggest HeadAC3he or BeSweet. Demux with AVI-Mux GUI first.
