I have a movie which the audio is in ac3 format. The movie has the usual audio and video _ts folders. what and how do I convert the audio in order for the tmpgenc program to accept the format? thanks

hi there... you need to demux your video_ts folder... to do so you can use many tools, I would use Vobedit because I ain't sure if VPAStrumento demuxes VOBs as well.
Once you have your audio demuxed, that is you get an mpa file with audio only, you can go to this guide and check out http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/extract_ac3_from_avi.cfm

    Hope it helps!

ok, thanks for the info. I just downloaded the vobedit. if you dont mind I would like a quick runthrough. do I have to open each VTS 01, to vts04 files? I have 4 vob files. then it brings up all the contents whic his pretty lenghty, do I hit demux?

    thanks

    IIRC...

    1) you need open VTS_01_1.VOB and then select demux
    2) when the Dialog box opens tick demux all video streams, all audio streams and all subp streams
    3) click OK and wait for several minutes until it finishes
