Hello, I am trying to convert a DivX to DVD using the 'Convert a DivX or XviD AVI to DVD' guide. I used VirtualDubMod_1_5_10_2 to extract the AC3 audio and reconverted the video with tmpGencoder. I made the authoring with Ifoedit 0.971. All seems to work fine but the authored DVD has no sound. I installed the ffdshow_rev610_20061201_clsid drivers and the original AVI works fine. I listen to the AC3 extracted audio with VideoLan client and works. So, I'm out of ideas on the matter that the final DVD has no sound. Can someone help me on that? Thanks, very much
I ran into this with [AC3] audio saved from VirtualDubMod. Convert the audio from VDub with this tool and multiplex with the video. http://www.videohelp.com/tools/ffmpegGUI
Thank you very much attar. It worked now. It is true what the guy says at the forum that there is a drop in volume when converting to AC3, but works at last and if I am not mistaken you can't convert to mp2 a 5.1 audio channel AVI. You'd get only the stereo channels. Greetings
I seem to remember bumping the level of the wav (from VDub) with Audacity (freeware) before running it through the ffmpeggui - but don't make me swear it.
