access mp3s from another computer

i was wondering how i can access my mp3 files from another computer. I thought of using a website and stream my mp3s through that but i have no idea of setting that up. Also, i have no interest for spending money on this. anybody have an answer?

 

Network the computers.

 

or if you have xp you could use the remote access function.

although you would need someone on both computers.

how far are the computers away from each other?

the distance is like 5 km? if i use remote control, could i play the mp3s files on my computer and hear it from the other one?

 

to be honest i don't know. you can select the files to play but whether or not you will be able to here them from the other comp i dont know try it out.

 

turns out u cant. i really want a way to listen to my mp3s from another computer.
